Gelish Removal

11:10 am

I hope you have all had a great start to 2016!

Today I'm doing a step by step Gelish removal. I qualified as a nail technician with Gelish Harmony in 2013 and have been using Gelish ever since. It is a great product to work with and the application lasts 2 to 3 weeks which is just amazing.

Lets get started...

REMOVAL:
What you will need:
*10 Foil nail wraps or normal kitchen foil
*10 Lint Free Wipes
*Gelish Soak Off
*Gelish Grit Buffer 100/180
*Wood Stick
*A good magazine to look through while soaking your nails

Step 1:
Using your Gelish Grit Buffer gently buff each nail.

Step 2:
Grab your lint free wipe and pour a little bit of the Gelish Soak Off Remover to the middle of the lint free wipe. Then place your lint free wipe onto your buffered nail.

Step 3:
Then you can wrap your Foil Wrap over the lint free wipe to keep the lint free wipe in place. Repeat Step 2 and Step 3 on each nail until all nails have a lint free wipe on and a foil wrap.

Step 4:
Depending on the thickness of the previous application the soak off time can take anywhere from 10-15 minutes. I normally leave mine 15 minutes just to make sure. Have a cuppa tea and read a magazine. I'm reading the Scratch magazine which is fab for nail art tips and tricks and keeping up to date with whats trending in the nail industry.

Step 5:
After 10-15 minutes unwrap the first nail you wrapped, you should see a crackled effect all over the surface of the previous Gelish. This indicates that it has been released from the nail bed.

Step 6:
Grab your wood stick and gently scrape the nail

Step 7:
Repeat Steps 5 and 6 on each nail, one at a time.

Step 8:
Your Gelish should now be removed and you can lightly buff each nail, wash your hands with soap and water and apply your favourite hand cream.

I hope this helped and if you've got any questions please leave a comment.

Thanks for reading. xx
